About Rosie

Rosie earned a BA Hons in Mental Health Nursing from Oxford Brookes University (1996-2000). She worked in mental health services for 16 years, specialising in substance misuse for over 8 years, and then in neurology and research at John Radcliffe Hospital for 13 years. Rosie retired early in December 2024 to focus on her health and well-being, and to develop her Yoga and Reiki practices to support others on their well-being journey. Rosie lives with several long-term health conditions which cause pain and fatigue and she has found Yoga and Reiki beneficial to her own well-being.

Yoga

Rosie began practicing yoga in 2011, attending various workshops, retreats, and yoga holidays. She completed a yoga foundation course (2019-2021) and earned the British Wheel of Yoga 300-hour Level 4 Certificate in Teaching Yoga (2023-2024). Rosie started teaching her own classes in January 2024 while completing the course. She adheres to the BWY Code of Ethical Conduct and safeguarding policies, maintaining a professional, caring, and compassionate approach. Passionate about making yoga accessible to all, Rosie teaches Hatha Yoga via a staged approach and includes breathing and relaxation practices.

Reiki

Rosie has practiced meditation since she was 18 and began practicing Reiki on herself in 2011, and on others in 2012. She has offered 1:1 Reiki therapy for several years and continues to provide this service. Rosie became a Reiki Master in 2013 and has taught several students Reiki One and Two.
